In term 2 our school had an art week. We needed to create a cultural art piece to exhibit at our school art exhibition.
Room 20 learnt about the Japanese sakura ("cherry blossoms") and their significance to the Japanese people. We then made our own sakura blossoms out of recycling egg cartons and painting them the colours of the flowers. We connected our blossoms using nylon and created a collective installation.
